Karen is a full time professional artist living and working close to the sea in the Peterhead area she considers herself very lucky to have so much inspirational scenery/atmosphere on her doorstep.

Her creative imagination is fired by all things from organic to urban .She has a unique style instantly recognizable with innovative techniques . As a self taught artist, she has the advantage of being free to paint with a passion having no confines or boundaries this allows her to experiment in varieties of textures, colour and structure.

Her contemporary textured designs make the pieces instantly recognizable as originals. Lifting the artwork off the canvas far away from flat, lifeless prints. The three dimentional canvas artwork is open to different interpretations by everyone who views them, evoking new sensory experiences, making a connection between viewer and artwork as you will feel compelled to reach out and touch.

The artist loves metallic texture as it is highly visual and extremely tactile and throughout the day the piece will change perspective as the light bounces off it creating a truly spectacular modern centerpiece.

Karen describes her abstract pieces as a long journey of discovery without a map or final destination. Sometimes by request she revisits some destinations but never takes exactly the same footpath which makes the voyage more exciting and unique.
